May the saints watch over your souls.
The 2 remaining crabs died today, despite the amount of care and responsibility I've showered them for the past month. I was feeling devastated when I couldn't get a response from the bigger crab (The longest living one which molted 2 weeks ago) when I got home this evening, but I thought and decided not to take it too hardly because it is hell of an experience for myself. I'll get 2 - 4 more new crabs, this time more careful and responsible.
I believe the crabs died due to bad adaptation to fresh water. From my research 2 days ago, fiddler crabs don't live longer in fresh water. They need both land and salt water for better survival, and they feed on very tiny particles they can find from sand and water. Like what the website states, pet shop owners normally tell its consumers that the crabs would live well in fresh water. After the deaths of my 3 beloved crabbies, I'm going to adopt an appropriate habitat for my to-come crabbies. I hope they live to their oldest.....
