Hard time managing my emotions. I have lots of them; anger, fear, agitation, depression. It's turning 5 months and I still couldn't get you out of my mind. There are better things for me to think and do, I have dreams and ambitions to work for. Please get out of my life now!
I went to Dragonfly @ St James Powerstation with Steph last night to support Shane's performance (The Velvet Band). It's a nice club/pub with wonderful sound system and great ambience, ideal for emotionally declined souls like me to chill and drink! Beer isn't that much welcomed there, most of the people drink hard liquor. So we got ourselves a glass of vodka with sprite and a vodka with coke, both FOC because all girls are entitled to 2 glasses of drink on that Lady's night (Steph got it). But generally I still prefer the "German Pub" in Millenia Walk. Though smaller, it's a much more mature and not that loud pub.
The Velvet Band has got pretty good musicians, but they need to improve alot more on the vocals. Well that's my personal opinion but I think they did a great performance last night nevertheless! The pub's very own band (Can't recall the name) is the larger-scale, and really professional band. William Scorpion and the crew were really fantastic in the show and I must say, thumbs up! Rare from me but I think they were really great. Superband is a joke.. LOL
That first guy who sang the first song of the pub's band performance (I think he's called Charles) came out with a smug face, but I don't think he sings well at all. Sylvester Sim sang pretty well, and that young China Vocalist (can't recall her name) was good too. Not to forget the man of the night, William Scorpion! He dances in a few songs, and sang one of Leslie Cheung's medley! Gosh that man is 48 and he looks 40 at most - well he's a gay. At the exit, we saw Syl, the skinny girl vocalist of the Superband's finalist band Scream, and the vocalist of Lucify (He really looks like a Malaysian selling mixed vegetable rice at the hawker!)
It's bad we didn't manage to stay till the end. The bus couldn't wait and we had to leave by 11pm. But well, I may go again for their brilliant performances!
